Cameron Scott
wood relief carver and collage artist

A bit about me.

I was born in Kintore, a small north east Scottish village, went to Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen and won the coveted Cinzano National Scholarship for Great Britain which allowed me to work for some of the leading design and fashion houses in France and Italy. From the world of high fashion, I moved into art schools where I taught in Falmouth School of Art, Shrewsbury School of Art, Salford University and Burnley College, moving from part time lecturer to Head of School of Art.

I then, with my partner, set up and ran a national training company for 17 years working in over a 150 public sector organisations.

We moved to Frome, Somerset 2015 and I am now producing art again, so am, in a way, a re-emerging artist and enjoying re-emerging. I have also been involved in various art groups and am a founder member of the Cotswold Sculptors Association.

Quote:

“Cameron Scott’s work is thoroughly engaging and clearly communicates to the viewer the artist’s dynamic personality, his love of life and the joy he finds in sharing it with those around him. This is conveyed through the highly narrative aspect of his artwork, in which emphasis is placed on the importance of memory in defining who we are, shaped by our individual and collective experiences. “
